Thrombocell GFC is a growth factor enrichment device used for concentrating growth factors from the autologous blood with a single spin. Thrombocell GFC kit is sterile, non pyrogenic.

GFC treatment is completely acellular and reduced risk of pain and inflammation. Serum extracted by the procedure has excellent stability for 8 hours at room temperature. No platelet wastage during and the procedure and high concentration of growth factors are extracted.

VEGF: Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor ( involved in angiogenesis. Induces new blood vessels in the scalp thereby promoting hair follicle regeneration, bone regeneration. Increases blood flow.

PDGF: Platelet Derived Growth Factor (Promotes Blood vessel & Bone healing, stimulate new bone formation and angiogenesis, involves in osteogenic differentiation, enhance tenocyte proliferation and promotes synthesis of ECM proteins)

FGF: Fibroblast Growth Factor  (Induces new hair follicles, stimulate BMSCs differentiation into bone)

EGF: Epidermal Growth Factor (Required for hair root maintenance)

IGF: Insulin like growth factor (to stimulate proliferation and osteogenic differentiation)

GFC regrows new hair. You can observe sprouts on the scalp. New hair regrowth is possible in 2–3 sessions, and visible hair growth is seen within weeks. It is highly suitable for men and women who are in the initial stages of Alopecia Areata.

  • Minimum 3 sessions required in the span of three months. In severe alopecia, 6 sessions required, thereafter entire therapy can be repeated once in a six months.
  • Results are seen in the form of reduced hair fall, increased hair thickness and hair count.
  • In general, GFC treatment results can last anywhere from 6 months to a year, or longer in some cases. However, patients can take maintenance injection once in a six months.

  • Since thrombocell GFC is pure and does not contain any RBCs (unwanted cells), risk of pain and inflammation due to GFC itself is minimal. Thrombocell GFC uses injectable grade activators thereby reducing the pain. The pain usually resolve in 2 days

Intra articular injection of thrombocell GFC in orthopaedic conditions such as Knee Osteoarthritis.

  • Serial (three) monthly GFC intra articular injections result in clinically meaningful improvement of subjective pain and functional outcome WOMAC scores, sustaining up to 12 months in KOA grade II and III. GFC also lead to significant reduction in serum levels of cartilage degradation biomarker coll2-1.
